The Applied AI in Education – Training Programme for Schoolteachers was held on August 12–13, 2025, as a collaborative initiative between the Ministry of Education, Higher Education and Vocational Education, the University of Moratuwa, and the Sri Lanka Association for the Advancement of Science (SLAAS). Conducted at the Department of Computer Science and Engineering, University of Moratuwa, and live-streamed to six regional venues, the program was delivered in Sinhala. The workshop focused on the application of AI in education, covering topics such as AI-driven personalized learning, educational content creation, classroom engagement, data-driven decision-making, and AI ethics. The same training program was conducted in Tamil medium across four venues on October 8–9, 2025.
